Lynx Coach Suzie McConnell Serio
"I expected our record to be better than it is right now. I'm not going to tell you what I was hoping for, but I'm always optimistic. I thought we would've had double-digit wins. Right now we see the position that we are in, that we are in the hunt for a playoff spot. We're in control of that."

"Katie gets more impressive with every game. She's been turning it on as of late — she's shooting the ball well, she's playing great defense, and this team just feeds off her... When I look at Katie Smith, she's constantly having to earn respect around the league. I think Katie looks at it (All-Star Game) as an opportunity to enjoy. I'm sure deep down (she cares about not starting), but she won't let it affect her. It's more important what she does in a Minnesota Lynx uniform — that's what I care about."

"Tamika Williams, again 4-for-4... I talked to her about being a little more selfish. She needs to be selfish for the Minnesota Lynx, not Tamika Williams."

Lynx Guard Katie Smith
"We had moments where we struggled — got a little out of whack on offense — and on defense we gave them some open looks. But I just liked the effort that we had in the first half. And in the second half, we were able to maintain. They're going to make runs — they're talented — but we were able to make buckets and get some stops when we needed them. We had a nice cushion at the end to finish it off."

"It's nice just to win your last two games going into the Break. We played well for 40 minutes for both of these games. But also during this break, hopefully people's mindsets are still hungry. We're coming right back with San Antonio and Cleveland. San Antonio is a tough team, and we have them at home — and Cleveland whipped us when they came here. We have work to do. There's no resting. I can't wait to get back next week and make a run to keep this thing going."

"I love to play both ends of the floor. I'm not just an offensive player, not just a shooter. I like to penetrate, post up and set picks. I love to 'D' up and I like to be versatile. I like big games in general. I just love the game and like to be involved in any way I can."

Lynx Forward Tamika Williams
"We played great defense, but their post players got more 'threes' than their guards did. That's a little reversed, and something we obviously need to work on. For the most part, these past two games (vs. Sacramento and Connecticut) we've played consistently against two totally different teams."

"We played well. We had only five or six turnovers in the first half. If we continue to play like this — if Katie continues to play the way she is, and people keep giving us good minutes off the bench — I think we are going to go really far."

"Breaks are always good. People get their legs back. We've been playing over 35 minutes a game. You just need a break, and it's a good break after all the transitions. We've been losing people and gaining people, and playing well. We'll get this rest, and let's continue with the great momentum."

Sun Coach Mike Thibault
"I can't say what I'd like to say, or I'd get fined... The All-Star Game is probably coming at a good time... The good thing is, we get to play them again in a couple of weeks at our place."

"Brooke and Wendy both had terrific games. We need more of that in the second half of the season."

Sun Guard Shannon Johnson
"We missed a lot of shots tonight. They put the pressure on us, and we didn't respond. When you have a hot shooter like Katie Smith, you have to respond — and we didn't. We were late getting to her, and she made us pay. We weren't disciplined enough on defense. We didn't box out and get rebounds. Overall, we missed a lot of opportunities."

"You have to get out on her (Smith) faster. As a team, you have to work hard on defending her. One man cannot be responsible for guarding her. It's nothing different. She does the same thing all the time. We just have to work harder on defense."
