Lynx Coach Suzie McConnell Serio
(on the advantage in second chance points)
"The timeout that I took in the first half really helped us. I saw that no one was going to the offensive glass and that is very uncharacteristic of this team. We were just standing around and watching them rebound. We were not really even being boxed out. I think it was also just being more aggressive and playing with more pride and desire to win."

(on the second half scoring)
"We just executed better in the second half. I thought we got out and ran well. We had better decision making and more emotion to enter the second half, too. Michele was a real difference maker in the second half as well. She was very impressive."

(on the first game in San Antonio)
"Exciting. It is a new franchise with new fans. The atmosphere was great and the fans were tremendous."

Lynx Guard Katie Smith
(on the second half scoring)
"We got good looks in the first half. We just didn't knock the shots down. In the second half, I thought that we shared the ball much better and we were able to penetrate and kick for some good shots."

(on her 3-point shooting)
"Sometimes the opponent will start to key on me. If I hit a couple of shots, it can put the thought in their mind that they have to get out on me. I was just glad to hit them. It spreads the floor when the other team has to respect the jump shot. It opens up everything."

(on her impression of San Antonio)
"It's awesome. I love this place. Great team and great people on the team that really get out into the community. I love the town and the people, the Riverwalk and everything. It is a great place."

Silver Stars Coach Candi Harvey
"I thought we did a good job the majority of the game. I thought we countered the three-point shot. They're a great three-point shooting team. We got hurt with the three-ball a little. All of a sudden they got on a roll."

"We had an opportunity to win. I think our offense is still searching for a flow, but it will get there and we'll develop. We have some new faces. I think we're a better defensive team."
