With the win the Sun are now 12-11, while the Lynx fall to 11-10. The win was the first for the franchise over Minnesota since a 71-49 victory by the Orlando Miracle on July 21, 2001. The Lynx still hold a 5-3 edge in the all-time series.

The Sun have won three consecutive games — four of five at home — and are over the .500 mark for the first time since July 6. The Lynx have lost three consecutive on the road.

Connecticut improves to 7-3 versus the Western Conference, compared to 5-8 vs. the East. The Lynx fall to 3-5 against the Eastern Conference, compared to 8-5 against the West.

Lynx rookie Jordan Adams scored 13 points — the first points of her WNBA career in three appearances — in 30 minutes of action, shooting 3-of-5 from three-point range. She added 10 rebounds (six offensive) and recorded Minnesota's first double-double of the season.

Lynx forward Svetlana Abrosimova did not play for the second straight game due to a strained right hamstring, an injury suffered last Thursday at Cleveland. Center Michele Van Gorp did not play due to a sore left knee suffered during warmups.
