Lynx Host Fan Appreciation Night Presented By Best Buy On Monday

The Minnesota Lynx today announced that its game on Monday, September 17 against the Indiana Fever will be its annual Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Best Buy. The first 10,000 fans to enter Target Center will receive a 2012 Minnesota Lynx team poster, presented by Best Buy and Identisys. Throughout the game, the Lynx will also give away hundreds of dollars in prizes, highlighted by a grand prize of a $500 Best Buy gift card.

“We have the best fans in the WNBA,” said Timberwolves and Lynx President Chris Wright. “The fan support we’ve received this season has been tremendous, and Monday’s game is a great opportunity to repay the favor to our dedicated fan base. As we head into the playoffs, we’re going to need our fans to continue to create an environment at Target Center which gives our team a pivotal home court advantage.”

The Lynx are a WNBA-best 15-1 at home this season, setting a new franchise record for most home wins in a season. Minnesota’s average attendance of 9,693 is the team’s seventh consecutive season with an increased attendance, and an improvement of nearly 15% from 2011. The team sold out six consecutive games between June 23 and August 19, the team’s longest sellout streak since its inaugural season.

Tickets for Fan Appreciation Night, as well as the upcoming Western Conference Semifinals, are available by calling the Lynx Front Office at 612-673-8400, by visiting www.lynxbasketball.com or in person at the Target Center box office.
