First off, I would like to say, "thank you" for all of your hard work and dedication throughout this trying season! Tamika, you are such an incredible player and you have such a great personality. It is so much fun watching you play. Do you have any plans for the offseason yet? Please don't ever leave the Lynx, you are a valuable asset.
Dawn
Minneapolis
Hi, Dawn. Thanks for all of your support. Yes, I do have plans for the upcoming offseason. I'm going to begin working on my master's degree in sports management at Ohio State University. I will also be helping out with the women's basketball team.
What is it like to play with Katie Smith?
Kaitlin
New Albany, OH
Hi, Kaitlin. It's really fun playing with a pure veteran like Katie. This is someone who has played Division I college basketball, ABL, overseas, WNBA and has been a member of the U.S. Olympic team. She has the answers to all of my basketball questions. It is great to have the opportunity to learn the game from such a professional.
I believe you are an amazing asset to the Minnesota Lynx. You are fun to watch and your passion and determination for the game shows. If you could be or do anything, what would you be or do? Have a beautiful day and keep playing hard.

Hi, Dawn. Thanks for the kind words. If there were one thing I could do, it would be to become an athletic director at a big university. I'd really enjoy having the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of student-athletes.

As a big UConn fan, I'm glad to see all you girls doing so well at the next level. Keep your head up, I know you're not used to losing. My question is what will you miss most about your four years at UConn. Take care and good luck.
Anthony
Stratford, CT
Hi, Anthony. There are a couple of things that I really miss about UConn. On the court, I definitely miss the winning. Obviously, we had a very memorable run as seniors on the way to the national championship. We had four very successful years while I was there. I'll also miss the family atmosphere that we shared, particularly our senior class.
What do you think is the biggest adjustment you've had to make between college and the WNBA?
Nicole
Minneapolis
Hi, Nicole. The biggest adjustment is recovering from a loss... many losses.
How do you think the Lynx can turn things around? How can you make the playoffs next season?
Evan
Trumbull, CT
Hi, Evan. Thanks for e-mailing your question. We can improve by learning how to play together for longer spans of time. Individually, we need to take more responsibility for our play.
Hey, Tamika, has the transition been hard to leave three other roommates you have pretty much lived with for four years and start in a different state with new teammates and fans?
Emma
Connecticut
Hi, Emma. Yes, it's hard. I miss them so much, but life goes on. We're still really close and talk all the time.
I just wanted to congratulate you on your awesome college career and rookie WNBA season. Do you miss playing with your former UConn teammates? Are you still good friends with them? Finally, how does it feel to be unable to win all the time?
Michelle
Hebron, CT
Hi, Michelle. I really miss the other three players. Obviously, we had a real good on-court chemistry during our four years at UConn. We still keep in touch on a regular basis, and are still very close friends. The hardest thing to deal with in the WNBA is the losing. I'm not used to it. Thanks for being such a great fan!
How hard has it been adapting to the WNBA? Is there more pressure on you since you graduated from the 39-0 UConn class?
Sam
Columbia, SC
Hi, Sam. Yes, the WNBA is hard because it's like playing in a national championship game every night. Everyone on the court is good. No, it's not as much pressure because we're not undefeated.
Hey, Tamika, congrats on a wonderful rookie season. What has been the weirdest or most outrageous thing that has happened to you since you've been in Minnesota?
Jess
South Hadley, MA
Hi, Jess. The strangest thing that has happened to me during my rookie season took place in our game against the Washington Mystics. Asjha and I got tangled up and she ended up kicking me in the mouth. She busted my mouth open and I had to get 15 stitches.
You're too cool. What's it like playing with Svet again? Do you guys ever hang out off the court?
Keri
Washington, D.C.
Hi Keri. Thanks, it's hard being me... ha!
It was great having Svet here when I was drafted because she has been through everything that I'm going through as a rookie. Yeah, we do hang out off the court, particularly at the malls.
Tamika, you are my idol. I'm your biggest fan, and Minnesota is so lucky to have such an awesome player and person like you. What is your favorite thing about basketball? Thank you for being such an inspiration to me! Go Lynx!
Kathy
Shakopee
Hi, Kathy. Thanks for the kind words. My favorite thing about basketball is all the new people I have had the chance to meet.
