Wiggins, Ros Casares Force Game 3


Candice Wiggins and Ros Casares avenged an earlier loss to Spartak Moscow on Friday, defeating the Russian club 73-71 to even-up the best-of-three series at one apiece. Ros' win sets up a monumental game between the two EuroLeague powers, which will be played Wednesday, Feb. 25 in Moscow. The winner will advance to the EuroLeague Final Four.

Wiggins came of the bench for her Spanish club, tallying three points and two rebounds in 10 minutes. Wiggins' lone field-goal was a three-pointer at the end of the third quarter that gave Ros a 15-point lead after three.

A Diana Taurasi lay-up tied the game at 69 with just over two minutes to play in the fourth, but four straight points by Spanish star Amaya Valdemoro secured the win for the Spanish club.

Kelly Miller contributed with six rebounds and Noelle Quinn tallied two rebounds and an assist for Spartak in the two-point loss. Taurasi led the way for the Russian power with 33 points.
