Lynx Activate Adams, Release Pride

July 6, 2003 The Lynx today announced the team has activated forward Jordan Adams from the Injured List and released forward Lynn Pride.

Adams, a 2003 second-round draft pick (18th overall) from New Mexico, was placed on the Injured List on June 1 with a lower back strain. Prior to the injury, the 6-3 forward did not appear in any regular-season games for Minnesota.

Pride, a 6-2 forward, appeared in 13 games and averaged 1.3 ppg and 1.3 rpg in 5.1 mpg for Minnesota in 2003. In two-plus seasons with the Lynx, Pride totaled 1,368 minutes, 310 points (4.1 ppg) and 266 rebounds (3.5 rpg) in 76 games (29 starts). She finished as the franchise's all-time leader in blocked shots with 46. Pride was acquired from the Portland Fire along with center Michele Van Gorp on Feb. 20, 2001 for forward Kristin Folkl and a first-round draft pick.
