Smith Is Fastest WNBA Player To 3,000 Points

June 11, 2004 Lynx guard Katie Smith reached the 3,000-point plateau in Minnesota's 55-69 loss at Los Angeles. Smith, who tallied 18 points and now has 3,012 points in her WNBA career, achieved the milestone with an 18' jump shot with 14:13 remaining in the first half.
