Lynx Single-Game Tickets On Sale April 15

Minnesota Lynx single-game tickets for the 2013 WNBA season will go on sale on Monday, April 15 at 10 a.m. CDT. The date coincides with the 2013 WNBA Draft, which will be televised in primetime for the first time in league history beginning at 7 p.m. CDT on ESPN2. The Lynx hold four draft picks in this year’s draft, including one in the first round (No. 12), two in the second round (No. 14 and No. 24) and one in the third round (No. 36). Lower-level tickets begin as low as $18. Additional prices levels are: $25, $40, $50 and $65. Single-game tickets can be purchased by calling the Lynx at 612-673-8400 or visiting LynxBasketball.com.

Highlight’s of Minnesota’s 17-game home schedule include: the home opener against the Connecticut Sun on Saturday, June 1, a rematch of the 2012 WNBA Finals against Tamika Catchings and the Indiana Fever on Saturday, Aug. 24, three visits from the Phoenix Mercury, featuring Diana Taurasi and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft (Thursday, June 6; Sunday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 24) and the first meeting as head coaches between New York’s Bill Laimbeer and Minnesota’s Cheryl Reeve, who served as an assistant under Laimbeer in Detroit (Sunday, Aug. 18).

Groups of 10 or more can purchase discounted tickets at a group rate, starting as low as $13. Group seating is available in five of the seven ticket levels, with prices including: $20, $29, $42 and $57. Additional ticket packages include full-season ticket memberships (starting at $187), half season packs (starting at $105) and five-game packs (starting at $75).

After reaching the WNBA Finals for the second consecutive season, Minnesota will open the 15th season of professional women’s basketball in Minnesota on Saturday, June 1 against the Connecticut Sun. The first chance for fans to see the 2013 Lynx squad, featuring former collegiate teammates at the University of Minnesota Lindsay Whalen and Janel McCarville, is during the team’s preseason game vs. Connecticut at Target Center on Tuesday, May 21.
