Won a gold medal with the U.S. Women's National Team at the World Championships in China. Following the tournament, she returned to Poland's Lotos VBW Clima, the same team she played with last offseason. Smith has returned to the United States and will not rejoin Lotos VBW Clima for the remainder of the 2003 EuroLeague season
