Lynx to Sponsor Benefit Luncheon with Duchess of York

The Minnesota Lynx will sponsor a special luncheon with Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, that will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities on May 10, from 12-1:30 p.m., at the Hilton Minneapolis.
The Duchess is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of families and children around the world. She is an ambassador for Ronald McDonald House Charities and is the founder of several children's charities, including Children in Crisis and The Sarah Ferguson Foundation.
"The Minnesota Lynx are pleased to be part of this special event," said Conrad Smith, vice president of new business development for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx. "Sarah Ferguson has dedicated her life to making a difference in the lives of families and children around the world. The Lynx have worked with the Ronald McDonald House for several years and we are honored to support the House and their wonderful mission."
Individual tickets to the luncheon are $50 and table sponsorships start at $1,000. Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of families whose children are faced with serious pediatric illness or disease. Each night, 48 families from across Minnesota, the United States, and the world are provided with a home-away-from-home through its cornerstone program, the Ronald McDonald House of the Twin Cities. The preseason schedule will continue for the Lynx when they host the Los Angeles Sparks in Seimone Augustus' return to LSU at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on May 13 at 4 p.m.
Minnesota will open the 2007 season at the Indiana Fever on May 19 and will play their home opener on Sunday, May 20, at 6 p.m. against the Sacramento Monarchs at the Target Center.
