Lynx Sign Guard Tynesha Lewis

Minneapolis/St. Paul - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed free agent guard Tynesha Lewis to a seven-day contract. Per team policy, no financial terms of the agreement were disclosed.

The 5-10 Lewis played in 10 games this season (1 start) with the Charlotte Sting, averaging 4.7 points, 1.3 assists and 16.6 minutes per game. The Sting released her on July 6.

Lewis, a graduate of North Carolina State, was drafted by the Houston Comets in the second round (31st overall) of the 2001 WNBA Draft. She played 46 games for the Comets in two seasons before signing with Charlotte as a free agent on June 2, 2003. She has career averages of 4.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 113 games.
