Lynx Sign Center Chloe Kerr

The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed former University of Southern California center Chloe Kerr. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

A 6-foot-3 native of Bolingbrook, Ill., Kerr will be reunited with former Trojans' teammate and second-year Lynx guard Shay Murphy. In 2006-07, Kerr closed out her senior season as the Trojans' second leading scorer with an average of 11.9 points per game behind Murphy's 17.9 ppg.

Kerr was the Trojans' starting center in all 30 contests in 2006-07, and she finished the season as the team's second leading rebounder (6.5 rpg) and top blocker (1.5 bpg). She closed out her four years at USC ranked fifth among the program's all-time leaders with 139 career blocks. Kerr was also a Pac-10 All-Academic honoree for three seasons. In 119 games in her four years with the Trojans, Kerr averaged 7.5 points and 4.7 rebounds.

Kerr spent the 2007-08 season playing in Greece for Aris Holargos, where she averaged 12.1 points on 66.3 percent shooting and 8.8 rebounds in 22 games.

The Minnesota Lynx will open their 10th Anniversary Season on May 18, 2008, against the Detroit Shock. Season and group tickets are on sale now for this historic season.
