Minnesota Lynx Re-Sign Forward Amanda Lassiter

Minneapolis/St. Paul - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has re-signed free agent forward Amanda Lassiter. Per team policy, no financial terms of the agreement were disclosed.

Lassiter (6-1, 153), drafted by the Houston Comets in the first round (15th overall) of the 2001 WNBA Draft, was traded by the Seattle Storm to the Lynx on April 15, 2004 for Janell Burse and Sheri Sam. Minnesota also received the sixth overall pick in the 2004 WNBA Draft and used the selection to draft Nicole Ohlde.

A graduate of the University of Missouri, Lassiter played in 33 games (12 starts) for the Lynx a season ago and averaged 3.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 17.1 minutes per game. Her best season as a pro came in 2003 as a member of the Storm, averaging 5.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 1.3 apg in 32 contests (18 starts).
