Minnesota Lynx Re-Sign Guard Kristi Harrower

Minneapolis/St. Paul - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has re-signed free agent guard Kristi Harrower. Per team policy, no financial terms of the agreement were disclosed.

“We are excited to have Kristi Harrower back in a Minnesota Lynx uniform,” said Chief Operating Officer Roger Griffith. “She is a veteran point guard that has gained a lot of basketball experience playing around the world. Kristi knows our system and can be a valuable contributor to our team.”

Harrower (5-4, 139) was not drafted by a WNBA franchise but signed with the Phoenix Mercury prior to the 1998 season and played 62 games with them in two seasons. She was traded to Minnesota prior to the 2000 season along with center Marlies Askamp and forward Angela Aycock for forward Adia Barnes, guard Tonya Edwards and forward Trisha Fallon.

A native of Australia, Harrower spent all of 2004 with the Australian National Team training for the Olympic games in Greece. She averaged 8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in eight Olympic games, helping the Australians secure the silver medal. Harrower last played for the Lynx during the 2003 season, averaging 2.8 points (.368 FG%) and 2.3 assists per game. She has a career scoring average of 3.4 ppg.
