During the 2014 WNBA season, the Minnesota Lynx will give out $36,000 spread between eight separate grants to organizations which focus on a specific area of charity. Four of the 8 grants, totaling $20,000, will be given from the Minnesota Lynx Foundation to fund breast cancer research and support programs throughout the state of Minnesota. The remaining four grants ($16,000) will be donated from the Minnesota Lynx FastBreak Foundation to support hands-on programs which positively impact Minnesota youth.
