Lynx Sign Lovelace-Tolbert

May 7, 2004 — The Lynx today announced the team has signed forward Stacey Lovelace-Tolbert. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed. Minnesota's training camp roster currently stands at 15.

The WNBA assigned Lovelace-Tolbert to Indiana on May 2, 2000 and the team waived her 22 days later on May 24. She was added to Seattle's roster on June 8, 2000 and played two seasons with the Storm. The Purdue alum averaged 3.9 ppg, 0.6 apg and 2.0 rpg in 45 WNBA contests.

Lovelace-Tolbert also spent three years in the ABL playing with the Atlanta Glory from 1996 to 1998 and with the New England Blizzard during the 1998-99 season. In 95 ABL games, the 6-4 forward posted averages of 13.1 ppg, 5.6 rpg and 1.1 apg.

The team opens its sixth WNBA regular season on Thursday, May 20 against the Seattle Storm at 9:00 p.m. CDT at Key Arena. Minnesota's 11-player roster must be finalized by Wednesday, May 19. The team may also have two players on the Injured List.
