The Lynx today announced the team has released guard Shaunzinski Gortman. Gortman, a graduate of South Carolina, played for the Lynx for the past two seasons. She posted averages of 1.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 13.3 mpg in three 2004 preseason games. In 54 career WNBA contests, Gortman averaged 2.6 ppg, 1.7 rpg and 0.6 apg.

The team opens its sixth WNBA regular season on Thursday, May 20 against the Seattle Storm at 9:00 p.m. CDT at KeyArena. Minnesota's 11-player roster must be finalized by tomorrow, Wednesday, May 19. The team may also have two players on the Injured List.
