Name: Jessica Breland
Position: Power Forward
School: North Carolina
School Bio: Jessica Breland
Having missed the 2009-10 season after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, North Carolina power forward Jessica Breland has overcome the odds to reclaim her spot in the post this season for the ACC powerhouse. Breland, an intimidating shot-blocking presence, controls the paint with her long wingspan and athletic ability. On the offensive end, Breland is able to run the floor well and can finish in transition. Heading into the NCAA Tourney, Breland is averaging 12.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocked shots per game.
A versatile 6-3 forward who can score, rebound and block shots.

Strengths: Mid-range jump shooter with high release point. Athletic rebounder out of her area. Long and athletic.
Weaknesses: Endurance and build (due to cancer and treatment) will allow her to be a 15-18 minute player now in WNBA. Handle needs work. Needs to extend range consistently to arc.
Intangibles: Strong heart and will to compete. Inspiring teammate for sacrifices she went through to come back and play at high level. If given a chance, will develop but will take time to move to the next level with conditioning.
