Betty Lennox Mailbox Response
"Since you joined the Minnesota Lynx, I have become a devoted fan! Thanks
for making this experience a great one! In the NBA this year, they have had
a rule change that allows teams to play zone defense. Does the WNBA allow a
zone defense or do you have to play 'person-to-person?' Which type of
defense do you prefer?"

Hi, Penny. Thank you very much for the kind words. I hope to see you in the
stands this summer! In the WNBA, we have the option of playing zone defense.
Personally, I prefer playing "man-to-man" defense. This fits in nicely with
our team because Coach Agler has us play mostly "man-to-man." Thanks and
have a blessed day.

Quote of the Week
"They're a tough team, and they particularly play well at home. Katie Smith
is having an MVP season. They're a tough bunch, and they outplayed us in the
little things tonight."
—Miami Sol guard Sandy Brondello, following a 63-57 Lynx win at Target
Center on June 22, 2001.
