Lynx Fact

In the three-year history of the Minnesota Lynx, 18 different colleges have been represented by players who have appeared in a Lynx regular-season game. Topping the list is Stanford University, which boasts four former or current Lynx members who are graduates of the school. The Lynx have also had three Australian players who did not attend college, but rather chose to play professionally in their native country prior to joining the WNBA.

Betty Lennox Mailbox

"Betty, every year you seem to add something new to your game. What types of things do you use to help in your improvement so that every year you can compete with the best? Good luck next year!"
Ebony
Ocala, FL

Hi, Ebony! The thing that I do in the offseason to improve my game is that I continue to stay in the gym and work out seven days a week. That makes the difference in my game every year because I get in better shape. Therefore, when it's game time, I can compete with the best, so I can be the best. Thanks for writing and have a blessed day.

Quote of the Week

"In my estimation, you're looking at a top-seven player in the league. She brings that scoring mentality that you don't see from other players in the league. Every single day, this kid competes. She's the kind of player you're very confident in building your team around."
—ESPN's Doris Burke on Katie Smith. The quote appeared in the St. Paul Pioneer Press on July 10, 2001.
