Lynx Activate Schweitzer, Place Adams On Injured List


Schweitzer averaged 4.1 ppg in 30 games for the Lynx last season.

June 1, 2003 The Lynx today announced the team has activated guard Georgia Schweitzer from the Injured List and placed forward Jordan Adams on the IL with a lower back strain.

Schweitzer, a third-year guard from Duke, was placed on the Injured List on May 21 with a meniscal contusion on her right knee. Adams, a 2003 second-round draft pick (18th overall) from New Mexico, has not appeared in any of the Lynx' three regular-season games this season. Per league rules, she must remain on the IL for a minimum of three games.

Minnesota hosts the four-time WNBA champion Houston Comets today at Target Center beginning at 5:00 p.m.
