May 12, 2004 — The Lynx today announced the team has released center Jordan Adams. Adams, a former University of New Mexico star, was selected by Minnesota in second round (18th overall) in the 2003 WNBA Draft. Adams posted averages of 4.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 14 mpg in two 2004 preseason games. In 10 regular-season WNBA contests last season, Adams averaged 3.3 ppg, 2.3 rpg and 0.4 apg.
The team opens its sixth WNBA regular season on Thursday, May 20 against the Seattle Storm at 9:00 p.m. CDT at Key Arena. Minnesota's 11-player roster must be finalized by Wednesday, May 19. The team may also have two players on the Injured List.
