Lynx Select Maya Moore No. 1
Moore, a 6-0 forward, joins the Lynx after a storied career at UConn that saw her reach milestones never seen before in the
women's collegiate game. Moore enters the WNBA as the only three-time Wade Trophy winner (2009, 2010, 2011) in NCAA
history. She also won the John R. Wooden and Naismith Awards twice (2009, 2011), and became only the second player in
NCAA history to achieve four-time All-America status. A three-time Big East Player of the Year, Moore became the first player –
male or female – to capture the Big East Player of the Year honors as a freshman (2007-08).
Moore's name will forever be etched in UConn's record books as the Jefferson City, Missouri, native leaves the program as one of the greats in school history. Moore departs first in total points (3,036), career scoring average (19.7 ppg) and career minutes played (4,683). Moore also finished second in school history in career rebounds (1,268), second in career three-pointers made (311) and third in career steals (311). Her 3,036 career points scored is the fourth-highest total in NCAA history over a single career and her 476 career NCAA Tournament points rank second in tournament history. Moore scored in double figures in 149 of 154 games played over her career, including 76 games of 20+ points and 12 games with 30+ points. She connected on three or more three-point shots 50 times over her career and shot a career mark of .404 from beyond the arc. Moore broke her own UConn single-season scoring record her senior year, totaling 868 points (22.8 ppg – tied for fifth nationally).
Moore finished her four-year collegiate career with a win/loss record of 150-4, which includes two National Championships (2009, 2010). The 150 wins represent the most over a single career in NCAA basketball history – male or female. Moore appeared in as many NCAA Final Fours (four) over her career as she had total losses (four) and finished an unblemished 81-0 at home. Moore captained the Huskies to an NCAA-record 90-game winning streak that spanned over two seasons before being snapped by Stanford on Dec. 30, 2010. Combining her career high school and college win/loss records, Moore finished with 275 wins to just seven losses.

Lynx Select Amber Harris No. 4
After choosing University of Connecticut star Maya Moore with the first overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft, the Lynx used the fourth overall pick to select Xavier University forward Amber Harris. The Lynx originally acquired the fourth overall pick from Connecticut in a 2010 draft-day trade in which Minnesota moved the third overall draft choice (Kelsey Griffin) to the Sun in exchange for 2011 first- and second-round selections. The Lynx also own the first two selections in the second round (13th and 14th overall) and the 26th overall pick (third round) in today's draft.
Harris, a 6-5 forward, enters the WNBA after spending four-plus years at Xavier, where she leaves as only the second Musketeer player in school history to surpass 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds. The two-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Year (2011, 2010), Harris is just the third player in Atlantic 10 history to appear on the All-Conference First Team four times. Harris became the first player in school history to be honored as a WBCA State Farm All-American in 2009-10. Harris ranks first on Xavier's all-time blocked shots list (361 career blocks) and scored 20+ points 37 times in her career.
