The Lynx conducted a "Lunch Learners" luncheon at Morton's of Chicago on July 27. Vanessa Hayden hosted 25 children from Dayton's Bluff Community Recreation Center, a division of St. Paul Parks and Recreation, eating lunch with the students and teaching them fine dining and table etiquette.

Lunch Learners gives middle school students the opportunity to dine in an upscale restaurant while learning fine dining etiquette from Lynx players and staff. The dining experience is a reward for students who have met certain goals. Hosted by Morton's of Chicago in downtown Minneapolis, the luncheons are held several times during the 2004 season.
