Into the Community
During the 2003 WNBA season, Lynx players and coaches made almost 75 individual player appearances throughout the Twin Cities. The team's appearances included summer schools, basketball camps, shelters, libraries and other local events.
Tickets for Kids
During the 2003 season, more than 35 charitable organizations, including non-profit agencies, schools and shelters throughout the state of Minnesota, attended Lynx games through the donation of the Lynx Tickets For Kids program. Lynx supporters, corporate sponsors and season-ticket holders purchased tickets for this program. Most groups were comprised of women and children that may not have otherwise been able to enjoy the games without complimentary tickets. Season ticket holders also donate unused season tickets to this program for distribution.
Hospital Tour
Lynx players, coaches and staff annually visit area children's hospitals and shelters, bringing gifts, smiles and words of encouragement.
