Lynx Volunteer At the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery

May 24, 2004 — Lynx players visited the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery's south shelter on Monday, participating in the Cook for Kids Volunteer Program. Tamika Williams, Vanessa Hayden and Tasha Butts prepared and served dinner to the children at the Nursery.
Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery is an independent residential shelter for children newborn through age six at risk of abuse or neglect. It is the only residential crisis nursery in Minnesota and one of only 20 in the country. Their programs are voluntary and completely free to Hennepin County families in crisis.
