Congrats To Lady Liberty Wheelchair Basketball Squad
The Wheelchair Sports Federation recently announced that the Lady Liberty Wheelchair
Basketball Team had a very successful run at the National Wheelchair
Basketball Association Championships in Denver last month. The
wheelchair basketball players are a committed and dedicated group of players
that practice and play games in the NWBA from September to March each
year.
Heading into the tournament, the Lady Liberty Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team was ranked 10th in the women's division, and finished as the 10th best women's team in the United States. The event serves as the premiere wheelchair basketball event in the country each year. Many college coaches utilize the event to scout for talent and the Lady Liberty are proud to have a few of its members who will continue to play wheelchair basketball in college, with some getting scholarships next year.
