The Sparks will make their lone regular season visit to The World's Most Famous Arena on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The Liberty is looking to extend its two-game win streak over Los Angeles, having swept the Western Conference squad in both showdowns last summer. The reigning WNBA Most Valuable Player, Candace Parker, will be appearing in her second game of the season after starting practice late last month. In her rookiecampaign against New York, Parker averaged 15.5 ppg and 10.0 rpg.

Liberty fans fondlyremember last season's dramaticgame againstthe Sparks at The Garden, as Janel McCarville sunk alay-up with 6.4 seconds remaining to seal the 68-69victory.

New York owns the all-time regular season series advantage at 13-11 and boasts an 8-5 all-time record against the Sparks when playing the role of host. Both clubs are looking to get back on the winning track after sluggish starts to the summer.

Liberty
Scouting Report: The Libs are riding high from a thrilling victory over Conference foe Detroit. Leading scorer Shameka Christon poured in 25 points in last week's game and averaged 20.5 points per game in last season's sweep of the Sparks, including a career-high 28-point outing on 7/1/08.

Sparks
Scouting Report: The Sparks will head eastoff a loss against the Mercury on Sunday, whichspoiled Parker's return to the Los Angeles bench.
