"It feels amazing to be honored like this," Doron told NYLiberty.com. "It is the highest personal honor a player can receive and I feel truly blessed to have had such an amazing four years where I reached both the team and my personal goals!"

During her collegiate career, Doron helped the Terps win 102 games, including the program's first national championship. She was part of the only class to make four-straight trips to the NCAA Tournament, advancing to at least the second round every season. A four-year starter, Doron ended her career ranked second in the history of the program in scoring and currently ranks third, netting 1,878 points, one of only three players in the history of Maryland women's basketball to have scored at least 1,800 points. The second-fastest player to 1,000 points, she was the 21st player in school history to reach the milestone, doing so in 64 games. She also holds the record for career free throws made (492) and games played (134), and is fourth with an 80.3 career three-point shooting percentage.

Jersey No. 22 will be the fourth honored in Maryland women's basketball history.

In her rookie campaign last summer, Doron made an appearance in seven Liberty games and recorded her first career start on June 22nd against the San Antonio Silver Stars. She was selected in the second round (16th overall) of the 2007 WNBA Draft and became the first Israeli to play in the WNBA.
