Reading, Writing, and Rebounds…

As part of a popular league-wide initiative, the New York Liberty will take the court for its first School Day mid-day game verse the Connecticut Sun at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 7. Teachers are encouraged to bring their students to Madison Square Garden for the second home game of the year to help usher in the Liberty’s 10th Anniversary while enjoying an educational and affordable field trip.

All in-game entertainment will be geared to the young at heart, including a halftime, on-court game of Simon Says. Always a fan-favorite, the Liberty Torch Patrol will be on hand to energize the crowd and Liberty Mascot Maddie will be making his way around the arena to meet young fans throughout the game.

For all groups attending the game, the Liberty is offering some an exciting post-game discussion with select Liberty players, entitled “Be Smart, Be Fit, Be Yourself.” The New York Liberty and the WNBA are committed to creating programs that improve the quality of life for all people, with a special emphasis on promoting a healthy lifestyle. This post-game discussion will help fans of all ages learn about the importance of physical fitness and maintaining a good diet.

For groups attending the game, ticket and food packages are available. Game tickets start at just $10 – and for $12, kids will receive a game ticket, popcorn and soda. For $15, they will receive a game ticket, hot dog, chips, and a soda.
