Pre-Game Rituals Revealed

With the 2007 WNBA season opener on the horizon, the Liberty is preparing for an exciting summer ahead. NYLiberty.com has discovered that players often prepare in their own special way for games.

Forward Janel McCarville’s pre-game ritual:
I just chill – make sure my mind is right and listen to some music.

Forward Tiffany Jackson’s pre-game ritual:
To get prepared, I will pray during the national anthem.

Guard Loree Moore’s pre-game ritual:
I don’t have any rituals per say, but I throw in a nap every now and again. I’ll also listen to music.

Guard Ashley Battle’s pre-game ritual:
I usually eat some pasta. Sometimes I will take a nap and will talk to my mom, then get ready to play.

Guard Lindsay Bowen’s pre-game ritual:
I take a nap and listen to music.

Center Martina Weber’s pre-game ritual:
In this order – I will call home, eat, take a nap, brush my teeth, drink coffee and listen to music.

Guard Shay Doron’s pre-game ritual:
I always put on my right shoe and ankle brace first, in order to start out on the "right" foot.
