Overseas Update - 3/31

LEILANI MITCHELL- Arras of France
March 17- First game of EuroCup Finals versus Kia Vaughnís Elitzur Ramla of Israel ends in a tie, 61-61. Leilani dished out 5 assists, stole the ball 5 times, and grabbed 7 rebounds in the game played in Israel.
March 20- Arras defeated Tarbes of France, 62-46 in French League Play. Leilani scored 3 points and grabbed 2 boards in the victory.
March 24- Elitzur Ramla defeated Arras to win the 2010/2011 EuroCup Championship. Ramla was just too much for Arras to handle on their home court, coming up short, 53-61.
March 27- Arras fell to Landes, 63-67 dropping them to 8th place in the French league. Leilani scored 11 points, grabbed 7 seven rebounds, and 6 assists.

JANEL McCARVILLE- Familia Schio of Italy
March 23- Schio continued their winning ways by defeating second place Taranto, 73-54. Janel scored 9 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in the win.
March 27- Schio finished out the Italian League regular season with a win over Pozzuoli, 78-54. Janel finished with 8 points and 11 rebounds, as Schio moves on to play Faenza in the Quarter Finals of the Italian playoffs on April 3.

SIDNEY SPENCER- Priolo of Italy
March 27- Priolo defeated second place Umbertide in their final regular season game, 78-55, to move up to seventh place in the Italian league. Sidney contributed 15 points and 5 rebounds in the win. Priolo moves on to face second place Taranto in the Quarter Finals of the playoffs on April 3rd.

NICOLE POWELL- Wisla Can-Pack of Poland
March 26- Wisla Can-Pack advanced to play Lotos Gdynia in the Semi-Finals. In game one, Wisla defeated Lotos, 74-59. Nicole scored 14 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and got 5 steals in the win.
March 27- In game 2 of the Semi Finals, Wisla defeated Lotos, 63-57. Nicole had 10 points and 8 rebounds in the win. The team will now travel to Lotos for game 3 on April 1.

KALANA GREENE- CCC Polkowice of Poland
March 26- After defeating Artego in Round 1, CCC Polkowice advanced to face Gorzow in the Semi-Finals. CCC Polkowice pulled out the 82-64 win in OT in game 1.
March 27- Following their big game 1 win, CCC Polkowice defeated Gorzow in game 2, 79-74. Kalana scored 9 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in the win. They will face Gorzow on April 1 in game 3.

CAPPIE PONDEXTER- UMMC Ekaterinburg
March 28- Cappie and UMMC began the Russian League playoffs as the number 1 seed. Spartak St. Petersburg was no match for UMMC as they got the win, 77-62 in game 1 of the quarterfinals. Cappie had 12 points and 4 rebounds in 29 minutes of play. Game 2 will be played April 1.

PLENETTE PIERSON- Tarsus BLD of Turkey
March 26- Third place Tarsus faces Botas during the Quarter-Finals in Turkish League playoffs. In game one, Tarsus came out on top, 78-71. Plenette had 10 points and 6 rebounds in the win.
March 29- Tarsus fell to Botas in game 2, 64-82. Plenette had 8 points and 4 rebounds in the loss. They will face Botas again in game 3 on March 31.

ESSENCE CARSON- SEAT Lami of Hungary
March 24- Essence Carson and third place SEAT Lami began the Hungarian League playoffs by facing Szeged. In game one, SEAT Lami won at home, 69-60. Essence scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the victory.
March 27- SEAT Lami was defeated in game 2 on the road, 65-80. Essence scored 22 points in the loss as the series advanced to game 3.
March 29- Game 3 was back on SEAT Lamiís home court, but they were unable to pull off the win, losing to Szeged, 72-76. Essence contributed 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists in the losing effort. Szeged advanced in the playoffs by knocking SEAT Lami out in the Quarter-Finals.

KIA VAUGHN- Elitzur Ramla of Israel
March 21- Elitzur Ramla began their Semi-Finals matchup against Ramat Hen with a close win, 87-85.Kia had 14 points and 8 rebounds in the win.
March 24- After defeating Arras of France in game 1 of the EuroCup Finals, they moved on to win the Championship by winning game 2, 61-53.
March 27- Ramla continued on with their Israeli League success by defeating Ramat Hen in game 2, 93-85. Kia had seven points and seven boards in the win.
