Janel McCarville: Salute to Dad

On Sunday, June 3rd, the New York Liberty will face Diana Taurasi, Cappie Pondexter and the Phoenix Mercury on the court at Madison Square Garden. The Liberty will also host “Dads & Daughters Day,” a league-wide celebration of the bond between fathers and daughters. In honor of “Dads & Daughters Day,” NYLiberty.com caught up with some Liberty players to get the dish on Dad.

Forward Janel McCarville

What role did your Dad play in your basketball career?
He played the best supportive role he could have. He was always there for me through the good and the bad!

What is the best advice your Dad gave you about basketball? And about life?
He taught me to do, and don't worry about what others think.

If you could give your Dad anything in the world, what would it be?
A lot of things. He says he has it all, but I would love to give him everything possible.

What message would you like to share with your Dad on this year’s Dads & Daughter’s Day?
I love you Daddy! Thanks for everything!
