New York Holds Second Best Franchise Start Since Inaugural Season

Kraayeveld Leads Liberty Past Lynx

The Liberty improved its record to 3-0 with a 70-60 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Friday evening at the Target Center behind the steady play of forward Cathrine Kraayeveld. Kraayeveld posted a game-high 21 points, with five rebounds and three assists.

“She is our lifesaver,” said forward Shameka Christon of Kraayeveld. “I don't think without her that this win would've been possible. She did a great job of keeping us in it.”

New York currently has its second best start to the season since its inaugural campaign in 1997. The Liberty remains to be one of three unbeaten teams in the WNBA, along with the Indiana Fever and Detroit Shock.

Next up for New York is the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday, June 3rd at Madison Square Garden, beginning at 4:00 PM. There’s still time to grab your tickets, click here, visit The Garden Box Office or call 877-WNBA-TIX.
