Liberty Fall to Fever
The New York Liberty (13-19) lost to the Indiana Fever (15-17) 76-63 on Thursday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Tina Charles led the Liberty with 15 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Cappie Pondexter with 10 points. Sugar Rodgers had nine points off the bench, while Swin Cash and Plenette Pierson added eight points apiece.
With the Liberty loss, Indiana and Chicago clinched the second and third seeds in the Eastern Conference playoffs. New York can still claim the fourth playoff spot with wins in its final two games combined with a Washington loss to Connecticut on Friday.
New York will face the Washington Mystics on the road on Saturday, August 16 at 7 p.m.
