Later on tonight we play the Phoenix Mercury. The Mercury have some of the fastest players on their team. Their point guard, little Tamicha Jackson, is one of the fastest in the WNBA. It should be fun to chase her around!!! I’ll write back after the game.
We won 70-64. VJ, Elena, Tari, and Becky led the way for us. Just wanted to take a few minutes to tell all of you, how I am really thrilled to be on this team. This is such an amazing experience. I truly believe that everyone on this team is special. Go Liberty!!!!!

Today we play the Detroit Shock, who beat us at their place a week ago. We owe them for that one because they stole it from us.
This day really turned out to be a bad day. By now all you know that we lost Becky in the game with a torn ACL. It was really sad to see her go down because Becky was having an unbelievable year. It made everybody sick to see that happen. It was hard to play knowing that she was hurting. But we battled after she went down. Everyone knew they had to pick it up, considering we lost our leading scorer and best shooter. We fought until the buzzer sounded, but unfortunately we lost 75-69. Next up is Connecticut on July 1st.

With Becky out of the lineup, everyone knows that we have to pick it up and everyone is ready to do so. As we continue our season, we pray that Becky has a great recovery and can come back stronger than ever next year.
We found out at shootaround today that T-Spoon and Tari are starters in the All-Star game. We are all very happy for them.
So the game went extremely well. We won 90-64, and shot an unbelievable 62.1% from the floor. Crystal was on fire and ended up with 22 points. Miko, Tari, Elena, and Spoon all did very well too..
I haven't mentioned T-Spoon before in my diary, and I thought I would take a few moments to recognize her. Spoon is one of those players who works behind the scenes. She is a player who goes unheralded after games. Don't get me wrong, everyone knows who she is of course, but it is usually everyone else who gets the credit. Everyone deserves the credit, but T-Spoon deserves some too. This is one of the most unselfish teams I have ever been on, and it starts with Spoon. I love playing here because no one cares who gets the publicity, we just care about winning. That is a tribute to the kind of people that are on this team.
We play Connecticut again on Sunday, so I will write some more then.

I am sad to write that we lost our game today. It was heartbreaking because we were leading by as much as 16 points. You have to give the Sun credit though, they never gave up. That’s what its like in this league - leads are never safe. I don't really have much to say because I am embarrassed - I played really bad today. I guess it was just one of those days.
I will check in next week after we play the Indiana Fever and my first All-Star game. Maybe I will see you there!
Take Care,
