It's hard to believe that the summer is almost over and the close of the 2007 WNBA regular season is just around the corner, but sadly it's true. But keep that chin up, fans, because the Liberty are ready to entertain and amaze the Madison Square Garden crowd for its final two home matches of the regular season. After returning from a two-game road swing, New York will host two Eastern Conference rivals on Friday, August 17th and Sunday, August 19th.

On Friday, Lindsay Whalen, Katie Douglas and the Connecticut Sun will roll in from New England, and New York is looking to even this season series. The last time these two teams saw each other, center Janel McCarville turned in a team-high 18-point performance, with forwards Shameka Christon and Tiffany Jackson adding 10 points each.

The Liberty will celebrate "Inspiring Women Night" and bring back the Mystery Gift Bags! The season kicked off against Candice Dupree the Chicago Sky and will also wrap up against them. For this final game, it's everyone's favorite - "Fan Appreciation Night." The first 5,000 fans in the arena will receive a special "Fan Appreciation" t-shirt, courtesy of Adidas. When New York last hosted Chicago, the team combined for a Madison Square Garden record of 13 three-pointers, led by Erin Thorn. Be there as the Liberty thank its adoring fans throughout the evening and look to take the season series advantage over the Sky.
