End-Season Reflection: Delisha Milton-Jones

Ros Gold-Onwude

Delisha Milton-Jones left San Antonio mid-season to join the Liberty and appeared in 11 games for New York (2 starts). She averaged 6.7 points, 1.7 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 19.4 minutes per game.

What is your status for next season?
I am a free agent and I will explore my options. New York is certainly high on my list, but I would still explore.

Where are you playing overseas?
In Tarsus, Turkey. I played there last year and I’m coming back for more.

What parts of your game will you work on in the offseason?
Everything. Three-point shooting. With the three point line being moved back it was an adjustment for me this year. I didn’t shoot as many threes as I would’ve liked. My percentage was down. This season held many injuries for me and that is unlike me. I’ve never experienced that and it messed up my rhythm. I need to catch my rhythm and bounce back.

How did you spend your time off after the season?
I went back to Georgia to be with my family. My sister just had a baby and I also spent a few days with my mom. Then I went to California to be with my husband.

What is your reflection on your play this season?
Lackluster. I gave the best effort I could give when I was healthy. It just wasn’t what I’m used to with consistency and health.
