Four Free Agents Added to Roster

2003 New York Liberty Training Camp Roster

Greenburgh, May 2 – The New York Liberty announced today the 2003 training camp roster. The roster, headlined by returning veteran players Teresa Weatherspoon, Becky Hammon, Crystal Robinson and Vickie Johnson has expanded with the addition of four free agent acquisitions. Former 2002 training camp invitee Bethany Donaphin, a 6-2 Forward/Center, out of Horace Mann High School in New York City will be joined by former Miami Sol Lindsay Yamasaki, 2002 Washington Mystic Maren Walseth and former Seattle Storm player Andrea Garner.

New York Liberty 2003 WNBA Draft selections, including first round selection Molly Creamer (Mendham, NJ) and Nicole Kaczmarski (Sachem, NY) have all reported to camp.

The New York Liberty pre-season schedule opens with two road games, May 6th when the team takes on the Connecticut Sun in the Liberty’s first visit to the Mohegan Arena, followed by a May 10th contest in Houston against the Comets. The Liberty wraps up the pre-season schedule at home on May 18th at Madison Square Garden also against the Houston Comets.

The defending WNBA Eastern Conference Champions open the regular season with back-to-back contests, on the road against the Cleveland Rockers on May 31, followed by a rematch of last years Eastern Conference Finals in the team’s home opener against the Washington Mystics at Madison Square Garden on June 1.
