A New Year, A New You?

New York, NY - December 29, 2005 - There are two kinds of people: those that make New Year's resolutions and those that don't. For those that do, and be honest, there are a lot of you out there, each new year allows for a fresh start of sorts. It is a chance to pinpoint something about yourself you would like to improve, then spend the next 12 months working on it. And for those who don't make resolutions, many figure why wait for January 1 to start self-improvement. So which of the two categories does your favorite Liberty players and coaches fall into?

Erin Thorn, Cathrine Kraayeveld and Athletic Trainer Lisa White don't make resolutions. Neither does Becky Hammon, because as she says, "if something needs to be done, today is always a good day to start."

Then there are those that will be making resolutions at the first of the year:

Assistant Coach Nick DiPillo: I'll make the same resolutions that everyone probably makes every year - work out more, get more organized, and spend more time with family and friends.

Loree Moore: My New Year's resolution is to not allow myself to become overwhelmed, to be able to stick to my plans.

Shameka Christon: This year I want to be a better person than I was before and to inspire the people around me.

Assistant Coach Marianne Stanley has perhaps the best resolution for the new year: To win the WNBA Championship!

No matter which category you fall into, the New York Liberty wishes you a happy and safe New Year!
