New York, NY - May 20, 2005 - New York now has its own "Liberty bell." Three Liberty players were invited to the New York Stock Exchange to ring the closing bell today.
Shameka Christon, Vickie Johnson and Becky Hammon traded in the gym attire for business attire this afternoon as they were welcomed to the Exchange by NYSE President and Co-COO Robert Britz. The group rang in the 2005 Liberty season, which opens this Sunday when the team hosts the Detroit Shock at 4:00 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.
