All-Stars All Around

New York, NY - March 6, 2006 - If off-season success is any indication of that to come during the season, then 2006 is going to be a good summer in New York. All three Liberty players currently competing in the NWBL have been performing so well that they have been named to the league's All-Star Game. Becky Hammon, Cathrine Kraayeveld and Loree Moore are among 17 players selected to participate in the All-Star Game.

The Game will be held tonight, March 6, at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado, home of the NWBL's Colorado Chill. Hammon has been chosen to represent the Chill, while Kraayeveld and Moore will be representing the San Diego Siege. However, due to her commitment with the USA Women's National Team in Europe, Hammon will be unable to participate. The Game will feature the American All-Stars facing the National All-Stars. The American team will be comprised of players from the Siege and the San Francisco Legacy, while select members of the Chill and San Jose Spiders will represent the National team. The Siege and the Chill will each have five players in the contest, in addition to four from the Spiders and three from the Legacy.

The Liberty trio has been lighting up the NWBL since the start of their season in February. Hammon is leading the league in both points (25.0) and assists (7.0) per game. Kraayeveld is second in both points (19.1) and rebounds (8.8) per game so far this season. Moore is averaging 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists on the season.
