Ahhh, Memories...

New York, NY - December 21, 2005 - As you get together with friends and family over the holidays, you can't help but think back to holidays past. And when you start reminiscing, there's usually one memory that sticks out in your mind. So as you think back on yours, check out what some Liberty players and coaches said is their all-time favorite holiday memory:

Elena Baranova: One time when I was young, my mom went outside to throw the garbage away and came back in with a gift. She said Santa Claus was walking by and asked her if she had a daughter and gave her a box of chocolate candy for me. So then of course every time she took the garbage out after that I asked her to look for Santa Claus.

Erin Thorn: Performing the Nativity scene with my cousins.

Nick DiPillo: Every holiday that I get to spend with my family and loved ones provides great memories for me, so it's really hard to pick just one.

Shameka Christon: I really don't have one. I love this time of year because it is a time that I will always spend with my family. Just being around my family is a memory I will cherish forever.

Marianne Stanley: My older sister and I sneaking out of the house to go to midnight mass on Christmas Eve when we were 10 and 11 years old, so we wouldn't have to wake up early and go to church the next day. Needless to say, our plan didn't work - our mom made us go to church on Christmas Day too.

Loree Moore: My all-time favorite memory is when my whole family was together for Christmas.

Cathrine Kraayeveld: I don't have just one memory, I'm just thankful I get to be home for Christmas to spend time with my family.

Lisa White: As a kid, I don't think there is any better feeling than waking up in the morning and seeing all the toys under the tree.

Becky Hammon: My favorite memories are ones of waking up with my brother and sister at 4 a.m. on Christmas morning to try to sneek a peek at our gifts. My dad would write riddles down and we'd have to solve the puzzles and gather clues to find our gifts that were hidden around the house. It was always a lot of fun. I remember one time I solved a riddle and found a pair of roller skates in the bathtub.

The New York Liberty wishes all its fans a happy and safe holiday season!
