Forty children from Garden of Dreams were welcomed to the Liberty Training Facility by Liberty Legend Kym Hampton as they were getting off the bus. The first surprised occurred in the Liberty Lounge where the children were personally introduced to the entire team, Liberty coaching staff as well as Liberty Mascot Maddie. Next, the Liberty Players led groups through their practice facility; they toured the Liberty player’s lounge, classroom, weight room, training room and locker room. During the locker room visit, each child was surprised with their very own personalized Liberty jersey. After the tour, "Liberty Dream Day" continued as the children got the ultimate thrill of being introduced by name like the Players themselves at the start of every game, high fiving Liberty Players and Maddie. The children then participated in a basketball instructional clinic in which the Liberty players were able to work 1-on-1 with kids to help them develop their basketball skills. To complete the day, the Liberty joined the children center court for and exclusive team photo and autograph session. |
