“Becky suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee,” said Dr. Norman Scott. “She will be out for the season and will have surgery in the near future. We expect her to be fully healed and ready for the 2004 season.”

“This is an incredibly bad break for a person who is having an all-star year and who worked so hard in the off season to become one of the teams best players,” said New York Liberty head coach Richie Adubato. “I know she’ll persevere and rehab the knee and come back stronger and better.”
