From the Court to the Clipboard

Hey fans, it's Erin Thorn checking in from Utah. Things are busy, busy around here. The college basketball season has begun and that means work is piling up. I've been on the road with the team for a week already and we leave again on the 28th. You have to love road trips!
Right now, the BYU team is 3-2 and ranked 22nd in the country. We had a big win over Stanford at their place a couple weeks ago. Then we lost two tough games to Baylor and Fresno State later that same week. We came back with a good win against Santa Clara right before Thanksgiving, which always helps keep the holidays fun!
We head out to Boston next to take on Harvard. Following that game, we will bus down to Hartford, CT - which is as close as we could get to the great state of New York. It seems like we're constantly on the road, but eventually I think we have some home games, so that will be nice!
Coaching here at BYU has been so much fun. We have a great group of girls and that makes it all worth the busy work. I know that I could coach forever if it was always like it is now.
As for my life outside of basketball, I recently bought a townhouse. I figured it was time to have my own place, I am 25! Now that everything is moved in, it's looking like someone could actually live there. It's fun! Thanksgiving was good, as it always is. This year was different for me though, because I spent the holiday away from my family. I took a trip to Virginia to share Thanksgiving with my boyfriend and his family. They are all great people and made me feel right at home. And I can't lie, it was a nice little break from the stresses of work. I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving as well.
That's it for me for now. Life is good, I love this time of year. Hope all of you have a fun, happy and safe holiday season!
Erin
