THE SKINNY: Vaughn appeared in all 34 games, with one start in her rookie campaign. She posted in double digits four times, collected five or more rebounds on two occassions and led the team in boards three times.
ON THE RISE: Minutes. As the season grew old, Vaughn saw more action and even turned in a number of veteran performances. In the last five games of the summer, she averaged 23.4 mpg, 9.4 ppg and 3.2 rpg.
BREAKOUT GAME: Vaughn's breakout game was a memorable one, as she scored her first career start, on September 10th in Detroit. The Bronx rookie poured in 15 points, grabbed five rebounds, had one steal, one assist and logged 33 minutes on the night. Her tough play, alongside former college team-mate Essence Carson helped New York outscore the defending champs 33-19 in the fourth quarter and sent the game into overtime. Although the final result was not in the Libs' favor, Vaughn gave us a preview of her very bright future.
