2007 In Review: Loree Moore
NYLiberty.com's Final Report

The summer came and went, but not without plenty of excitement from the 2007 Liberty. Through the up’s and down’s, it was a great season for the young squad to get some experience in the quicker, bigger, stronger WNBA.

As players are beginning to part ways en route to off-season endeavors, NYLiberty.com is handing in its season homework – a final report, which takes a look back at how each member of the team faired this summer. Today’s chapter of the report looks at guard Loree Moore.

MAKING IT COUNT
Moore turned in a banner season for her third year in the WNBA … In 2007, she recorded career-bests in points (9.6), steals (2.2), assists (4.8) and minutes (34.2) … By raising her game this season, she improved her overall career average to 6.1 points, 3.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game … Moore appeared in 34 games, started in 33, posted double figures 18 times and led New York in scoring eight times and rebounds three times.

TRIPLE THREAT
Moore proved that she has more in her arsenal than being a point guard who can dish and drive, by shooting a career-best .409 percent from beyond-the-arc in 2007 … She finished the season as one of the five Liberty players ranked in the League’s Top 20 three-point shooters … Her 55 treys on the year were a team-high and 5th overall amongst the WNBA.

PULLING RANK
Moore was the No. 1 overall steals leader in the WNBA, collecting 75 total, and with her 2.2 average per game, she captured the No. 2 overall spot … She was also one of the League’s Top assists leaders, dishing out 163 on the year – making her second in the WNBA … Her average of 4.8 per game made her fourth in the League.

GETTING DEFENSIVE
The WNBA named Moore to the All-Defensive Second-Team on August 24th, her first appearance on the list … The Liberty’s steals leader topped her career-high of five in her native California on June 29th against the Sparks, amassing six on the night.
