Girls & Women in Sports Day

In celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day, the Liberty teamed up with Salt Brook Elementary School in New Providence, NJ, for an event with students and staff. Kym Hampton and Sue Wicks conducted a School Assembly promoting equality in sports and the importance of exercise and fitness for the K- 6 school. Click here for photos.

National Girls & Women in Sports

The Liberty continued their celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day during a special event with girls basketball players from PSAL. Several student-athletes heard from former/current athletes who also work in the sports industry. They shared advice on "Getting to the Next Level" as well as their reflections on the impact of Title IX.

2012 Liberty Schedule Announced

Today the New York Liberty announced its 2012 regular season schedule, which includes 17 home games and one pre-season game, to be played at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The Liberty season opener is May 19th against the Connecticut Sun. Click here for the full press release.
